VRT’s main message: a gripping, diverse and innovative autumn

This fall, you’ll be overwhelmed. The Flemish public broadcaster makes every moment you, as a media consumer, spend with VRT valuable. From a unique stress experiment and volunteers who enthusiastically renovate a boat, to financial help for young people and a shiny, new radio station MNM.

Radio station MNM is unveiling a fresh, new logo and house style to match, as well as a fresh baseline and new shows. VRT 1 will move you with De goudvis, the story of two friends’ extraordinary boat trip. VRT Canvas, VRT’s second television channel, will get you thinking. VRT MAX, VRT’s streaming platform, presents the second season of High Tides (Knokke off), which is already getting a lot of hype, and children’s channel Ketnet is working on a new story for the renowned series, #LikeMe. And once again, you can count on VRT’s radio stations to provide analysis, surprise and, of course, music.

The huge offering is for all Flemish people and stands out due to its added value, which can’t be missed. Just as you would expect from the public broadcaster, it is high-quality, impactful and diverse.

VRT 1

Once again, this fall, TV station VRT 1 connects all of Flanders with local and recognizable stories, a relevant line-up and programs that have an impact. That’s why VRT 1 will continue to play to its strengths: the beloved mix of regular programming, in the form of human interest, infotainment and news, together with high-quality entertainment and the best of Flemish fiction – a wide assortment for everyone, young and old, to make the difference more than ever.

TV personality Tom Waes looks into what stress – a major problem in modern society – does to people and tries to become Kalm Waes . VRT 1 breaks taboos with Menopauzia, a show all about menopause. On Sunday evenings, fiction takes center stage, with the brand-new, exciting fiction series Ferry: The Series, in collaboration with Netflix. The daily quiz show Blockx (Blokken) celebrates its thirtieth anniversary.

VRT Canvas

Offering fresh perspectives, VRT Canvas stimulates thought with thought-provoking programming such as Drugs dus where TV personality Otto-Jan Ham, goes on an objective and open-minded quest for the truth about legal and illegal drugs in Drugs dus. Furthermore, Jan Leyers bij de Duitsers dives into Germany’s turbulent history, with an open look at the very best and very worst of it. Ketnet

In early 2025, children’s channel Ketnet will release a brand-new #LikeMe seriesnot just another season, but a whole new story, with a different cast. What hasn’t changed: 26 Dutch songs will get a makeover.

But Ketnet is offering new fiction made for children this fall, as well. De Raad van Soekie (Ruby Rules) is a series bursting with humor, in which you learn how to debate, how the democratic system works and how important elections are. Waiko is a brand-new series with an alien side to it, in coproduction with Studio 100. Otis-Skate is the third part of the series that takes place in the skateboarding scene, and GameKeepers is back for a fourth and final season. Ketnet also keeps up its strong human interest. In Wat niemand ziet , ten kids talk about their own special stories. Their lives are determined by something over which they have no control or influence – something you don’t immediately see on the outside, but which has a major impact on the inside.

VRT MAX

The biggest streaming platform in Flanders will also be serving up the best of VRT in the upcoming season, with exclusive video series and brand-new podcasts for all generations. Get ready for the long-awaited second season of the immensely popular, much lauded High Tides (Knokke off). Even more fiction: in the international co-production It Doesn’t Get Better than This (Beter wordt het niet), David decides to take a chance: he gives up his rental agreement, packs all his stuff and emigrates to Berlin, to be with his girlfriend.
