Red Sebastian will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel with 'Strobe lights'
Red Sebastian will represent Belgium at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel (Switzerland). With the song 'Strobe lights' he managed to convince the viewers at home and the jury the most in the Belgian preselection Eurosong 2025. Red Sebastian received 132 points from the professional jury and 291 of the voting public, in total 423 points.
Red Sebastian, that's the stage name of Seppe Herreman (25 years old) from Ghent. With his song Strobe lights he will represent Belgium on the big Eurovision stage in May. In terms of sound, Strobe lights is an ode to the thumping beats of the rave culture of the 90s. Strobe lights describes the story of an exciting club night: you know where it starts but not where it ends. The song is a feat on a vocal technical level: it very deliberately shows everything of Red Sebastian's vocal ability, both in the high and low registers. With his amazing voice, the singer would like to make a difference in Basel. Red Sebastian wrote the song himself, together with Billie Bentein, Ameerah A. Roelants and Willem Vanderstichele.
Who is Red Sebastian?
Seppe Herreman (Ghent, 25 years old) was already a finalist at the age of 14 at Belgium's got talent (2014). At the conservatory he developed his alter ego of Red Sebastian. Seppe became a finalist in 2024 in the VTM program Sing Again, in which he stood out for both his fantastic vocal range and his remarkable outfits.
