Seeds and Growth for Media

The Flemish media and audiovisual sector is seen as forward-thinking, but faces competition from global players. To stay ahead, the industry needs to digitalise through technological innovations, making it more dependent on digital talent. Seeds and Growth for Media aims to strengthen the media and audiovisual start-up and scale-up ecosystem in Flanders, filling the gaps in existing support and creating a streamlined value chain.

The innovation project’s four objectives are to survey the sector annually, provide digital technology knowledge-sharing and pitching opportunities, incubate around 18 media, creative and/or tech start-ups, and support around 10 tech and 6 creative companies annually in securing financing, mentoring, and accelerator programmes. 

This project has received funding from the Flemish government, as part of the digital transformation programme for the Flemish media sector.
