Sports is a fundamental component of the informational, entertaining and uniting mission of a public broadcaster. VRT is dedicated to sports news, information, and analysis, and provides accessible programmes for a wide range of sports. Apart from sports such as soccer and bicycle racing, VRT also covers less popular sports. With its sports programming, VRT contributes to both a passive sports experience and understanding, as well as an active participation in sports. Here, we collaborate with external partners like sports federations and sports event organisers, and act as a host broadcaster for many sports events.
